We invite you to join the Museum of Neon Art + Project Por Amor for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Havana, Cuba! Over the last five years, Havana has re-kindled its vintage neon lights through a public art program called “Habana Light Neon + Signs,” which has already restored over fifty signs and revived a neon district that had been dark for decades. J. Eric Lynxwiler, MONA Board Member and Neon Historian, will guide you on a week-long exploration of the city to discover its historic neon signs and hear the stories of the places they promoted. As Havana celebrates its 500th anniversary, we will also delve into the history of the city, explore centuries of architecture, ride classic cars around town, listen to excellent Cuban music, visit artist studios, and eat at some of the most interesting restaurants in the capital city.
